SCOPE Applauds the Introduction of New Labour Codes in India
The Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE) has expressed strong approval following the Indian Government’s implementation of four comprehensive Labour Codes. This initiative represents a significant progression in the efforts to streamline, modernize, and make more rational the legal framework concerning labour in India.
Shri Atul Sobti, Director General of SCOPE, praised the initiative, stating, “SCOPE is dedicated to assisting Public Sector Enterprises (PSEs) in the seamless and efficient adoption of these codes. The introduction of the Labour Codes is a crucial step forward in developing a developed and self-reliant India (Viksit & Aatmanirbhar Bharat), ensuring that the nation’s economic advancement is sustainable, equitable, and prepared for future challenges.”
Throughout the development phase of these codes, SCOPE actively engaged in multiple consultative and discussion forums. By offering insights specific to the public sector, SCOPE has played a supportive role in the government’s reformative measures.
