Prabhakar Singh Awarded Atal Tiranga Samman 2025
In a solemn gathering held on December 26, 2025, at the NDMC Convention Center in New Delhi, Shri Prabhakar Singh, the former Director General of the Central Public Works Department (CPWD), was honored with the prestigious Atal Tiranga Samman. This recognition was part of a larger event celebrating the 101st birth anniversary of the late former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna awardee, Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Ceremony Highlights
The event, organized by the nationalist group ‘Salute Tiranga’, commemorated 30 distinguished individuals from across India for their exceptional contributions to various sectors. Singh, notable for his patriotism and significant impact on national development, stood out among the honorees.
With a remarkable career background, including a B.Tech (Hons) from IIT Kharagpur and an MBA-PGDM from MDI Gurgaon, Singh’s tenure at CPWD was marked by a 2500% increase in workload. His strategic initiatives include the construction of the New Parliament Building, Central Vista, and several other pivotal government structures.

Currently, he holds several prestigious positions such as a Board Member at Unitech Ltd., Chairman of the Project Advisory Committee at IFSCA in GIFT City, and Presiding Arbitrator at the India International Arbitration Centre. Additionally, Singh is an accomplished poet with four published books of poetry, celebrated by prominent Indian leaders.
