HUDCO Posts Record FY 2025-26 Performance, Strengthens Viksit Bharat @2047 Focus

**New Delhi, August 25, 2026:** HUDCO has closed FY 2025-26 with its strongest operational and financial performance, reinforcing its role in India’s infrastructure and urban development agenda even amid global economic and geopolitical uncertainties.

At the 56th Annual General Meeting held through video conferencing, Shri Sanjay Kulshrestha, Chairman and Managing Director of Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited, said urbanisation will remain central to India’s long-term growth. He noted that well-planned metros, Tier-II cities and Tier-III towns will play a major part in driving investment, employment and productivity.

HUDCO reported record annual loan sanctions of ₹1,64,758 crore, marking 29% growth over the previous year. Loan disbursements also touched a record ₹51,194 crore, rising 28%. The company’s loan book expanded to ₹1,60,724 crore from ₹1,24,828 crore, strengthening its position as a leading infrastructure financier.

Financial performance also reached a new peak. Total income increased 29% to ₹13,327 crore, while net profit climbed nearly 49% to a record ₹4,034 crore. Net worth stood at ₹21,977 crore. Asset quality remained strong, with Gross NPA at 1.04% and Net NPA at 0.05%, backed by a provision coverage ratio of 94.90%.

The company also lowered its borrowing cost by 27 basis points, raised $700 million through ECBs and secured another $1.3 billion for future drawdown. Its Capital Adequacy Ratio remained strong at 39.93%, far above the 15% regulatory requirement. For FY 2025-26, the Board recommended a record dividend of ₹6.05 per equity share, amounting to ₹1,211.15 crore.

HUDCO retained its AAA/Stable domestic credit rating and received an “Excellent” MoU Rating for the second year in a row.

Shri Kulshrestha also underlined the importance of the Urban Invest Window, or UiWIN, launched in November 2025 under the guidance of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. Designed as a one-stop platform for Urban Local Bodies, UiWIN supports infrastructure development and reflects the idea, “When cities win, everyone wins.” Since launch, it has partnered with Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Bihar and Odisha.

HUDCO is also widening its institutional base by using its Navratna and NBFC-IFC status, increasing participation in PPP projects, reviewing key policies, advancing asset monetisation and maintaining asset quality through proactive risk management. Resource mobilisation has expanded through ECBs, Section 85 Capital Gain Bonds, ESG-linked borrowings and the company’s first Perpetual Bond issuance.

The company has also strengthened governance, compliance and information security frameworks. Over the past two years, more than 150 officers have joined HUDCO, adding fresh talent and specialised expertise. Guided by its “T-shaped” growth philosophy, HUDCO is deepening its core strengths in housing and urban infrastructure finance while building capabilities across the wider urban development ecosystem.

Looking ahead, Shri Kulshrestha said India’s needs across housing, transportation, logistics, water and sanitation, urban mobility, climate-resilient assets and digital infrastructure offer strong growth opportunities. PM Gati Shakti, the National Logistics Policy, the Industrial Corridors Programme and City Economic Regions are expected to support a growing project pipeline.

HUDCO said it will continue to finance transformative, resilient and inclusive infrastructure, strengthen institutions and contribute to improving quality of life for millions of citizens. The company reaffirmed its commitment to “Viksit Pradesh for Viksit Bharat” and the national aspiration of Viksit Bharat @2047.
