Among the noteworthy projects, the redevelopment of the GPRA Colony at Sarojini Nagar, New Delhi, stands out with an ambitious plan to construct 800 Type-V quarters. This project alone is valued at ₹900 crore and is a part of a larger scheme aimed at enhancing residential facilities in key locations across the capital. Additionally, the same area will see the rise of 500 new residential apartments, further cementing NBCC’s role in transforming New Delhi’s urban landscape.
Moving to Netaji Nagar, another prime area in New Delhi, NBCC has been entrusted with the redevelopment that includes the construction of 199 Type-VII and VIII quarters, and 540 Type-V quarters, valued at ₹659 crore and ₹616 crore respectively. These projects are designed to provide high-quality government housing, complemented by modern amenities.
Further diversifying its portfolio, NBCC will also contribute to the education sector by constructing a new campus for the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) at Maidan Garhi, New Delhi. With a project value of ₹289 crore, this state-of-the-art educational facility is expected to boost the academic infrastructure and provide advanced learning environments for future leaders.
In addition to educational and residential projects, NBCC has also ventured into the zoological domain with the construction of the African Zoo, Safari Plaza, Animal Hospital, and Quarantine facility at the Balasaheb Thackeray Gorewada International Zoological Park in Nagpur. This project, valued at ₹235 crore, underscores NBCC’s versatility and commitment to enhancing biodiversity conservation facilities in India.
The company’s expanding project list also includes significant contributions to the development of other educational and administrative structures across the country, such as the Central University of Odisha in Sunabeda, and the Administrative Building in Chimbel, Goa, further demonstrating NBCC’s pivotal role in shaping India’s infrastructural landscape.
As NBCC continues to secure and execute diverse projects, its strategic importance in India’s development narrative becomes increasingly evident. With a clear focus on sustainable and impactful projects, NBCC is not just building structures, but is also a key player in the nation’s progress towards modernization and enhanced urban infrastructure.
