A formal Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was executed between the REC Foundation and Vikas Bharti Bishunpur, targeting the enhancement of health services through the introduction of three Mobile Medical Units (MMUs). These units, funded with ₹1.68 crore from REC, are designed to navigate remote areas, bringing critical healthcare services directly to the doorsteps of those in need.

The official ceremony, marking this collaboration, took place on October 7, 2025, and saw key figures such as Shri Ashok Bhagat, Secretary of Vikas Bharti Bishunpur, and Shri Jitendra Srivastava, Chairman and Managing Director of REC Limited, in attendance along with other dignitaries from both organizations.

With these mobile units, the REC Foundation aims to significantly narrow the healthcare accessibility gap in Jharkhand, ensuring that medical services reach even the most remote communities. This effort is not just about healthcare delivery but also about enhancing the quality of life and wellbeing of individuals in these areas.

  • Commitment Amount: ₹1.68 crore
  • Beneficiary: Rural communities across various districts in Jharkhand
  • Operational Plan: Deployment and operational funding for MMUs for one year
  • Objective: To provide doorstep healthcare services to marginalized communities

This initiative is part of REC’s broader mission to address disparities in health services and to promote equitable healthcare across the state of Jharkhand.
