Hyderabad, July 24, 2026: NMDC has launched the NMDC Bailadila Kabaddi League – Series 1, a key CSR initiative to discover and nurture rural sporting talent in the Bailadila region. The four-day tournament, inaugurated at the Hockey Ground in Bacheli, aims to empower youth through sports and promote social inclusion.
The league features young kabaddi players from 26 villages, providing professional infrastructure, sports kits, and pathways to higher-level competitions. Matches are being held at Bacheli and Kirandul venues from July 23 to 26, 2026.
Chief Guest Shri Rabindra Narayan, Executive Director, Kirandul Complex, highlighted NMDC’s vision of fostering grassroots sports and healthy lifestyles. Local leaders including Shri Nandaram Mudami and Shri Arvind Kunjam praised the company’s efforts in community development and talent recognition.
The initiative underscores NMDC’s commitment to investing in rural youth and building a stronger future through sports-focused CSR.
