NHPC Celebrates Spring with Vibrant Vasant Utsav 2026

On February 22, 2026, the NHPC Residential Complex in Faridabad was alive with the festive spirit of Vasant Utsav, an event that celebrates the vibrancy of Indian culture during the spring season. This event was led by Shri Bhupender Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director, along with Smt. Shikha Gupta, Chairperson of the NHPC Mahila Kalyan Samiti. NHPC, a company dedicated entirely to renewable energy, hosts this festival to display the rich cultural mosaic of India.

During the festivities, Shri Gupta imparted his seasonal greetings to the attendees, reflecting on the rejuvenating quality of spring. He outlined how the season is a harbinger of renewal and hope, evident in the blooming landscapes and sprouting new life, symbolizing continuous change and progress. Moreover, Shri Gupta provided insights into the company’s recent accomplishments and forward-looking strategies, highlighting a year marked by substantial achievements and exceeding expectations.

The celebration also saw the participation of Shri Uttam Lal, Director (Personnel), Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director (Projects), and Shri Suprakash Adhikari, Director (Technical), along with members of the NHPC Mahila Kalyan Samiti, including Smt. Mona Lal, Smt. Garima Singh, and Smt. Soma Adhikari. Enhancing the festive mood, local performers from Mathura captivated the audience with traditional songs, music, and dances.

Additionally, the event provided a platform for promoting regional handicrafts, featuring stalls hosted by various NHPC stations and offices from states and Union Territories across India, including Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim, West Bengal, Uttarakhand, Arunachal Pradesh, and Assam. These stalls showcased a wide array of local arts and crafts, further celebrating the diversity and heritage of the nation.
