Shri Amol Taori has assumed charge as Director (Finance) of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a Maharatna CPSE under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, with effect from 18th August 2026.
A Chartered Accountant with nearly 30 years of rich and diverse experience, Shri Taori brings expertise spanning Finance, Treasury, International Trade, Marketing and Compensation Management. Before this appointment he served as Executive Director (In-charge) – International Trade at Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), where he handled crude procurement of approximately 700 kbd, product imports and exports, chartering and shipping arrangements, and oil price risk management.
Over his career Shri Taori managed one of India’s largest corporate treasuries for more than a decade. He spearheaded HPCL’s maiden USD bond issue, securing one of the most competitive pricing spreads by an Indian issuer. He conceptualised the Oil Bond Swap that helped reduce borrowing costs and facilitated HPCL’s first foreign currency swaps along with a revolving line of credit. He also represented HPCL at global equity and debt roadshows, strengthening investor confidence.
Shri Taori served as a Trustee of all the employee benefits trusts of HPCL and held a Directorship on the Board of HPCL Middle East FZCO, Dubai.
