India–Mauritius Energy Partnership Gets Major Boost with G2G MoU, Five-Year Supply Deal

India–Mauritius Energy Partnership Gets Major Boost with G2G MoU, Five-Year Supply Deal

Mauritius: India and Mauritius are taking their energy partnership into a broader framework, with a landmark Government-to-Government (G2G) MoU covering petroleum and gas, biofuels, sustainability and emerging energy areas.

Under the leadership of Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi and the guidance of Hon’ble Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas Shri HardeepSPuri, the agreement is aimed at strengthening energy security and providing greater predictability amid a volatile global energy environment.

The partnership builds on the 25-year association of IndianOil (Mauritius) Limited as a trusted energy partner in Mauritius. The new framework gives the two countries a structured platform for deeper country-to-country energy cooperation.

A key element is the five-year petroleum products supply agreement, which reinforces India’s commitment to Mauritius’ energy security while further advancing the shared India–Mauritius vision of win-win cooperation.
