PESB’s Selection Saga: Who Will Steer the Ship at Engineers India Limited as the New CMD?

New Delhi: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB), responsible for appointing in the public sector under-takings, had invited applications to fill the vacant position of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) at State-Owned Company Engineers India Limited.

According to sources, more than two dozen candidates have applied for this position thus far, comprising both internal and external applicants. The competition for this single position has intensified as a diverse pool of candidates has entered the race.

Readers should note that the tenure of the current CMD is nearing completion, prompting PESB to initiate the process of selecting a new CMD. Following the deadline for submitting applications, it has come to light that a significant number of qualified candidates have thrown their hats into the ring for consideration.
