08 October 2026 : Sh. Ajay Verma has officially taken charge as the Executive Director (Projects) of THDC India Limited on October 8, 2026. In this capacity, he will oversee the company’s hydro-thermal project portfolio, which includes both ongoing construction and commissioned operations.
Prior to this assignment, Sh. Verma served as the Executive Director and Head of Project for the 444 MW Vishnugad-Pipalkoti Hydro Electric Project starting in 2023. His career with THDC India Limited spans more than three decades, beginning on July 30, 1990, when he joined as an Engineer (Trainee).
A civil engineering graduate from M.S. Ramaiah College in Bengaluru in 1988, Sh. Verma brings over 38 years of post-graduation experience to his new role. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Construction Management from the Delhi Productivity Council and a Post Graduate Certificate in Project Management from IIM Indore.
Throughout his tenure at the company, he has contributed to various operational areas, including Rehabilitation, Construction, Corporate Contracts, Vigilance, Tehri Dam spillway works, and Koteshwar Dam planning. His previous leadership roles include managing the commissioning of the 3×8 MW Dhukwan Small Hydro Electric Project and directing Contracts Management at the 1320 MW Khurja Super Thermal Power Project.
