Hudco Plans to Increase Borrowing Limit for FY 2025-26
Sources within Hudco have revealed that the company intends to augment its annual borrowing plan for the fiscal year 2025-26. Originally set at Rs.65,000 Crore, the new target has been proposed to rise to Rs.80,000 Crore. This strategic adjustment aims to enhance the company’s financial flexibility and support its growth initiatives.
The scope of this enhanced borrowing program encompasses various debt instruments. These include:
- Bonds/Debentures, which may be issued on a private or public placement basis
- Term Loans
- External Commercial Borrowings (ECBs)
- Commercial Papers
- Financial assistance from Multilateral Bodies
The funds from this revised market borrowing program are planned to be raised periodically throughout the financial year 2025-26. Each issuance will require the approval of the Competent Authority, adhering to the powers delegated to them.
This proactive financial strategy is set to bolster Hudco’s capacity to manage and allocate resources effectively, ensuring that it remains well-positioned to meet its future obligations and investment plans.
