New Delhi: Hon’ble Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh inaugurated the third batch of DAKSH, SCOPE and CBC’s flagship leadership initiative, reinforcing India’s commitment to building future-ready Public Sector leaders.
The batch includes 70 participants from diverse PSE sectors, with 10 women leaders, reflecting greater inclusivity. DAKSH (Development of Aspiration, Knowledge, Succession & Harmony) is a 12-month immersive programme designed to develop strategic, behavioural, and transformational skills for evolving challenges.
Dr. Jitendra Singh praised the programme’s impact, noting that several alumni have already risen to Board-level positions. He urged the new cohort to master global strategies through interactive, technology-driven learning and welcomed the increased women’s participation.
Ms. S. Radha Chauhan, Chairperson, CBC, stressed citizen-centric leadership in the age of agentic AI and urged participants to maximise every learning opportunity to become transformative leaders.
Shri K. Moses Chalai, Secretary, DPE, highlighted PSEs’ critical role in the national economy and described DAKSH as the ideal platform to nurture visionary talent.
Dr. K.P. Mahadevaswamy, Chairman, SCOPE & CMD, NBCC, thanked the Minister and emphasised that an organisation’s true strength lies in the people it nurtures and the leaders it develops.
Shri Atul Sobti, DG, SCOPE, called the event a reaffirmation that organisations investing in leadership achieve lasting success. He hailed DAKSH as a pioneering initiative for strategic vision and cross-functional expertise.
Dr. Alka Mittal, Member, CBC, said PSEs are key to realising Viksit Bharat and DAKSH is grooming principled, resilient, and ethically grounded leaders.
Prof. Madan Pillutla of ISB, academic partner for DAKSH-3, committed to delivering a world-class learning experience. In his vote of thanks, Shri Brajesh Kumar Upadhyay, Vice-Chairman, SCOPE & CMD, GSL, underlined the growing importance of strong public sector leadership as India advances and inspired participants with a shared sense of purpose.
The event was attended by senior government officials, PESB members, and CPSE leaders, including Shri Roop Narayan Sunkar. This initiative strengthens the Public Sector’s drive for excellence, innovation, and inclusive growth.
