Music is the freedom of soul

Music is the freedom of soul

Victor Hugo said – Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent. Music is universal language of the mankind. From Mozart, Beatles, Freddie Mercury to Pandit Ravi Shankar, Lata Mangeshkar and Ustad Zakir Hussain numerous composers & musicians have not only influenced generations all over the world but contributed in making human existence meaningful and bearable. It’s also true that humans have attempted over generations to capture music and compositions so that they acquire some sort of permanency and are not merely transient. To listen to music deferred over a period of time and at leisure, mankind developed many instruments to capture the sounds for posterity. Apparently, the first sound recording was done in 1860 by ÉdouardLéon Scott de Martinville, who captured a snippet of “Au clair de la lune” using his phonautograph. History was created when Thomas Edison created a device capable of recording and playback known as phonograph in 1877. Thereafter, there was no looking back for musicians and technicians who recorded sound solitarily or in big studios.

The recording and playback industry has come a long way. Today it has acquired a technical sophistication which many other industries envy. The attempt has been for reproduction of sound as close to the actual rendition. From the early Phonautograph to Mechanical Devices like Wind Up Music Boxes to Acoustic Recording: – This method used acoustic horns to capture sound vibrations, which were later etched into wax cylinders. Electrical Amplification: Innovations like the gramophone introduced lateral-cut flat discs in the 1880s, improving sound fidelity and durability. The technologies laid the foundation for modern sound recording and reproduction. Gradually the Music enthusiasts wanted to have a contraption at home so that they could listen to Music at their leisure. Initially Analogue recording (even Phonautograph had analogues recording) and reproduction was more popular and reached its zenith in the 1980s’. Later Digital Recording started dominating the industry; coupled with the Video revolution it was the thing for home entertainment. Cut to present, there are a host of Sophisticated Music and Video Systems which rule the home segment. For Music enthusiasts, a good Home Audio System is a must buy.

There are several High-End Audio Systems available in the Market today most of which are produced in countries like Japan, Germany, US, UK, Denmark, Italy, France, Canada etc. India depends on imported equipment for much of its high-end Audio Systems. Since these are imported the price is often quite high. Most of the Indian Resellers import the machinery and sell it to customers. Since these are sophisticated imported machinery After Sale Service is a major concern. Availability of parts is another big issue. Many Audio Dealers in India promise the sky and even promise ‘curated’ equipment suitable for the space they are to be used in a home. Though most are Plug and Play, many require fine adjustments like placement of speakers, sound proofing, equipment furniture and seating arrangements for best hearing. However, beyond a point, it’s more of a Sales Promotion and persuasive communication which is aimed at selling the audio product without much of technical inputs. Though Indian listeners are today more discerning and want value for money they are at a loss where to source the genuine equipment which have good lineage and robust backing. And like many select premium goods and services this is a critical decision to make.

Enter a person who is Technically qualified who cut his teeth in the Middle with the best sound equipment suppliers and helped maintain them in an environment where the customers were extremely demanding. Having matured in the competitive world of Japan and China he took upon himself to create and manufacture world class sound equipment including Analogue Amplifiers, Floor & Book Shelf Speakers, Sub woofers even appropriate stands to go with them. After years of Sound Planning, Sales, Service, Maintenance for Home, Café, Industrial and Corporate Sectors he set up an Assembly Line for one of the most accurate and immersive sound system available in India today tailored to meet the unique requirements of each user.
