CIPL Secures 125 Crore IT Upgrade Deal with ONGC

Corporate Infotech Pvt. Ltd. (CIPL), a leading provider of technology solutions, has recently clinched a substantial contract from Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), a prominent state-run oil and gas entity. Announced on March 16, the contract, valued at ₹125 crore, tasks CIPL with a comprehensive overhaul of ONGC’s IT infrastructure, incorporating advanced artificial intelligence technologies.

This extensive project will span three years and will involve the enhancement and management of IT services across 47 ONGC sites nationwide. The initiative aims to modernize digital operations and significantly strengthen the security systems within ONGC’s IT framework.

Vinod Kumar, Managing Director of CIPL, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, highlighting the integration of AI-driven solutions such as predictive maintenance and intelligent automation. This strategic use of technology is expected to elevate operational efficiency and security to new heights, ensuring that ONGC’s IT systems are not only resilient but also future-proof.

The project will be supported by a dedicated team of over 450 skilled professionals, ensuring meticulous implementation and continuous operational support throughout its duration. Kumar emphasized the transformative potential of this collaboration, aiming to revolutionize the management of large-scale IT ecosystems with enhanced intelligence and security.

ONGC, established in 1956, holds the distinction of being India’s largest oil and gas exploration and production company under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. On the other hand, CIPL, founded in 2007, has established itself as a major force in IT and technology solutions in India, with a history of managing critical IT infrastructure for various government and public sector undertakings. This includes projects for Indian Oil Corporation, Security Printing and Minting Corporation of India Limited (SPMCIL), and the Airports Authority of India (AAI), among others. This new venture with ONGC is set to further reinforce CIPL’s position in the industry while advancing the digital capabilities of one of India’s key public sector enterprises.
