The retired official, who reportedly faced multiple vigilance cases during his tenure, allegedly announced his appointment even before the interview process scheduled for January 16, 2025. The complainant claims to have alerted the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas on January 13, raising red flags about the officer’s history. Despite these warnings, the individual could get selected is outrageous and has sparked severe misgivings. It is being described as a blatant disregard towards transparency and equal opportunity in the selection process. Serious Concerns have been raised in the Oil & Gas Sector.
The complainant questioned how someone with such a tainted record could be trusted to lead an organization of national importance. “This undermines the credibility of the entire selection process and raises questions about the integrity of those at the helm,” the letter to the CBI stated.
The complaint, which has also been sent to the Honorable Prime Minister and other senior officials, demands an immediate and thorough investigation to uncover the truth. The case has triggered widespread concern about governance and accountability in the public sector, with many calling for stricter control to prevent similar incidents.
The general public now waits to see if this case will lead to meaningful reforms or it will become another unresolved controversy in the country’s long battle against corruption.
