Faridabad, August 28, 2026: NBCC (India) Limited and NHPC Limited have entered into a strategic MoU to strengthen the execution of infrastructure projects across India, marking a major step in coordinated development between two Navratna CPSEs.
The agreement, signed at NHPC’s corporate office in Faridabad, focuses on NHPC’s infrastructure works on an all-India basis, mainly covering buildings, structures and related facilities. NBCC operates under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, while NHPC functions under the Ministry of Power, Government of India.
Under the MoU, NBCC will provide Project Management Consultancy services and execute identified NHPC infrastructure projects on a deposit work basis. The mandate covers design, engineering, project management, procurement, construction, quality control, installation, commissioning, statutory compliance and final handover of completed projects.
The MoU was signed by Deepak Kumar, General Manager (Civil), NHPC, and Rajiv Kumar, Chief General Manager (Engineering), NBCC, in the presence of senior officials from both organisations.
From NBCC, the delegation included Dr. K. P. Mahadevaswamy, Chairman and Managing Director; Anjeev Jain, Director (Finance); Dr. Vijay Kumar Choudhary, Senior Executive Director (Finance); and senior officials from SBG Delhi-II.
NHPC was represented by Bhupender Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director; Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director (Projects); Suprakash Adhikari, Director (Technical); Mahesh Kumar Sharma, Director (Finance); R. S. Ranpara, Director (Personnel); and R. T. Nathan, Executive Director (Human Resources).
The partnership brings together NHPC’s experience in hydropower and clean energy with NBCC’s established capability in planning and executing infrastructure projects in line with government guidelines. The collaboration is expected to support standardised and efficient delivery of NHPC’s residential blocks, residential and commercial infrastructure, office complexes and allied facilities.
With a focus on cost-effectiveness, time efficiency and required quality standards, the MoU creates a structured framework for stronger inter-CPSE cooperation. It also reinforces the shared objective of delivering sustainable, efficient and future-ready infrastructure across India.
