THDC India Limited Inks Landmark MoU with Rajasthan Government for 1,600 MW Pumped Storage Projects
Rishikesh, October 1, 2024 – THDC India Limited, a prominent Mini Ratna PSU in power generation, has signed a significant MoU with the Rajasthan Government for developing two Pumped Storage Projects (PSPs) totaling 1,600 MW capacity, with an investment of ₹8,800 crores.
Key Highlights:
– 800 MW Bisanpura PSP in Bundi and 800 MW Rampura PSP in Tonk
– Off-stream closed-loop PSPs optimizing water usage for enhanced energy efficiency
– Strategic partnership reinforcing Rajasthan’s commitment to renewable energy
– Expected to generate over 25 lakh direct/indirect manpower hours
This collaboration aligns with Rajasthan’s goals of enhancing renewable energy infrastructure and promoting sustainable economic growth.
