Rajasthan Mandapam will be the 2nd Bharat Mandapam of the India-Says top chair of NBCC, as NBCC (India) Ltd. spearheads a monumental urban development endeavor in Jaipur. Tasked with designing, constructing, and promoting a range of transformative projects on 95 acres of RIICO land along the B2 Bypass, Tonk Road, NBCC stands poised to shape Jaipur’s future skyline.
The ambitious initiative includes the creation of the Rajasthan Mandapam Convention Centre, Global Capability Centre (GCC) Tower, IT Tower, luxury hotels, and a mix of commercial and residential structures. This comprehensive infrastructure push aligns with the Viksit Rajasthan 2047 vision, championed by Shri Narendra Modi, the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, and Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Rajasthan. This strategic vision aims to boost the state’s economy and position it as a national and global hub for conventions and knowledge exchange.
Endorsed by the Government of Rajasthan through recent cabinet approval, the project commands an estimated investment of around ₹3,700 crore, with ₹635 crore pledged by the State Government. This substantial financial backing underscores the authorities’ commitment to fostering long-term economic growth and development in the region.
Central to the project is the Rajasthan Mandapam Convention Centre, planned over 25 acres at a cost of ₹2,200 crore. Envisioned as a state-of-the-art facility with a seating capacity of 7000-7,500, the Rajasthan Mandapam aims to echo the grandeur of the Bharat Mandapam in Delhi, a previous NBCC success story.
In addition to the convention center, the project encompasses dedicated towers for IT and global capability centers, luxury hotels, green spaces, and commercial areas—all meticulously laid out in NBCC’s comprehensive master plan. The self-financing model adopted will leverage revenues from plot sales and leases to fund construction activities, alleviating the burden on public finances.
Moreover, NBCC’s expertise is further showcased through its project management consultancy role for the Unity Mall in Jaipur, receiving a work order worth approximately Rs 202 crore. Backed by the Union finance ministry’s approval and funding allocation of Rs 100 crore, the Unity Mall promises to be a vibrant retail hub showcasing local products and specialties.
With a focus on technical excellence, financial transparency, and global standards, NBCC’s involvement assures stakeholders of a world-class urban infrastructure development that promises to drive economic growth, promote tourism, and catalyze the service industry in Jaipur and beyond.
