International Training by HSMI

New Delhi: International Training by HSMI : HUDCO CMD Sanjay Kulshrestha guided the successful conduct of the 57th ITEC training programme, focusing on ‘Making Cities Sustainable’. In his addresses during the inaugural and valedictory sessions, he underscored the critical role of sustainable development in enhancing urban living standards amidst rapid urban growth.

This initiative, supported by the Ministry of External Affairs, aimed to equip international professionals with the tools and knowledge needed to address the challenges of urbanization and promote sustainable practices in their respective countries.

The two-week program, hosted by the Human Settlement Management Institute (HSMI), saw the participation of 24 professionals from 22 nations, including Ghana, Iraq, Jordan, Zimbabwe, and Uganda.

Through a series of thematic lectures, study visits, group exercises, and country-specific presentations, participants engaged in a rich exchange of ideas and best practices related to urbanization, sustainability, affordable housing, and green mobility. The immersive experience also provided them with insights into Indian culture and heritage, enriching their understanding of diverse approaches to urban development.

The ITEC training programme not only empowered participants with practical knowledge and skills but also fostered international collaboration and networking opportunities.

By sharing experiences and expertise, professionals from varied backgrounds contributed to a collective effort towards building more resilient and sustainable cities worldwide.
