Fadnavis, Shinde, and HUDCO CMD Sanjay Kulshrestha Set Stage for Rs. 1.5 Lakh Crore Infrastructure Revolution in Mumbai

Mumbai | April 8, 2025: In a landmark move poised to redefine urban development in Maharashtra, Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister; Shri Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister; and Shri Sanjay Kulshrestha, Chairman & Managing Director of HUDCO, have presided over the signing of a game-changing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited (HUDCO) and the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA).

The sensational pact, signed on 8th April, 2025 in Mumbai, lays out a powerful framework under which HUDCO shall explore and provide up to Rs. 1,50,000 Crore over five years to power infrastructure projects across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.

In addition to financial support, HUDCO will also offer consultancy services and capacity building activities tailored to the emerging development needs of MMRDA, helmed by Dr. Sanjay Mukherjee, VC & MD of the authority.

With the state’s top leadership and urban development authorities aligned, Mumbai is set to witness an infrastructure transformation of unprecedented scale.
