Bridging Fine Arts and Cinematic Storytelling at DLCSUPVA
ROHTAK — October 9, 2026 | By NewsIP Special Correspondent : Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLCSUPVA) has launched an intensive art appreciation workshop for third-semester students in its Film and Television (FTV) faculty, aiming to deepen visual analysis and creative thinking. Led by renowned visual artist, painter, and animation filmmaker Shefalee Jain, the academic program trains students to evaluate artworks beyond surface aesthetics.
The curriculum emphasizes core technical elements, including color selection, shapes, texture, structure, and subject matter, connecting fine art principles directly to cinematic training. Highlighting the initiative’s objective, FTV faculty member Mahesh TP noted that understanding diverse artistic forms, cultural contexts, and societal expressions is essential for students specializing in acting, direction, editing, cinematography, and audiography.
The program equips aspiring media professionals with enhanced observation skills, refined aesthetic sensitivity, and innovative perspectives crucial for their professional execution.
