The launch attracted a host of dignitaries, including several secretaries from the Government of India, members of the Public Enterprise Selection Board, along with chief executives and senior leaders from various governmental departments, ministries, and Public Sector Enterprises (PSEs).

Objective and Impact of DAKSH

The DAKSH program, developed through a collaborative effort between SCOPE and CBC, is dedicated to reinforcing leadership skills and promoting excellence across India’s public enterprises. Following a successful inaugural batch, the second batch aims to continue this legacy by enhancing the leadership landscape within the nation’s industrial backbone.

During the inauguration, Dr. Mishra highlighted the critical role of public sectors in shaping India’s infrastructure and industrial frameworks. He emphasized the necessity for these enterprises to adopt innovation and technology to stay competitive and manage the challenges of energy transition effectively. Dr. Mishra also encouraged the new batch of DAKSH participants to use this opportunity to expand their perspectives and refine their decision-making skills.

Shri K. Moses Chalai pointed out the importance of a clear vision and comprehensive knowledge for the next generation of leaders. He praised the DAKSH program as a crucial initiative for developing competent managers and leaders who are essential for driving the national economy.

Shri Atul Sobti expressed his gratitude towards the dignitaries and reiterated SCOPE’s commitment to maintaining relevance and impact through programs like DAKSH, which prepare leaders to tackle dynamic and complex challenges with agility and responsibility.

Dr. Alka Mittal shared insights on the program’s aim to build a strong human resource foundation that enhances both individual and organizational capacities. She stressed that DAKSH is designed not only to prepare future leaders but also to support them on a continuous journey of professional growth and development.

Program Structure and Partners

The second installment of DAKSH, in collaboration with knowledge partner Egon Zehnder and academic partner IIM Indore, will host over 70 high-potential senior executives from diverse PSEs across India. This 12-month intensive program is crafted to be forward-thinking, equipping participants with strategic, behavioral, and transformational skills necessary for leading in the ever-evolving public sector landscape.

Through this initiative, DAKSH continues to solidify its role as a cornerstone for cultivating leadership excellence in India’s public sector, ensuring that today’s leaders are well-prepared to navigate future challenges with confidence and skill.
