NTPC Green Energy Adds 50 MW Solar Capacity in Rajasthan, Group’s Total Installed Capacity Rises to 10,671.40 MW

New Delhi/Ghaziabad, June 16, 2026: NTPC Green Energy Limited has announced the successful commercial operation of an additional 50 MW solar capacity, taking the cumulative solar capacity to 250 MW out of the 300 MW solar component in its 200 MW Renewable Energy Round-the-Clock (RE RTC) project in Rajasthan. The 50 MW unit, developed by Project Sixteen Renewable Power Private Limited — a step-down subsidiary of the joint venture ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited — was declared commercially operational with effect from 00:00 hours on 14 June 2026.

With this addition, the total installed capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Limited Group has increased from 10,621.40 MW to 10,671.40 MW.

This development marks another milestone in NTPC Green Energy’s aggressive renewable energy expansion plan, strengthening its position as one of India’s leading green energy companies. The RE RTC project is designed to provide reliable, round-the-clock renewable power by integrating solar and other renewable sources. The company continues to focus on scaling up its renewable portfolio to support India’s clean energy transition goals.
