In a significant move towards sustainable development, GAIL (India) Limited and Petron Scientech Inc have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore the establishment of a 500 KTA bio-ethylene plant in India. This groundbreaking initiative, announced on August 22, 2024, aims to harness bio-ethanol production in a 50:50 Joint Venture (JV) mode, paving the way for a cleaner and greener future.
Synergizing Expertise for a Sustainable Tomorrow The MoU, signed by Shri Sumit Kishore, Executive Director, GAIL, and Shri Yogi Sarin, CEO, Petron, in the presence of Shri Rajeev Kumar Singhal, Director (Business Development), GAIL, marks a significant milestone in India’s clean energy journey. Through this partnership, GAIL and Petron will undertake feasibility studies to assess the project’s technical and financial viability, with the goal of securing investment approval and forming a JV company.GAIL and Petron Join Forces to Pioneer Bio-Ethylene Production in India
