IndianOil, along with other Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs), is collaborating with state authorities nationwide to tackle illegal activities such as hoarding and black marketing of LPG cylinders. To this end, approximately 68,000 inspections have been executed, resulting in the registration of 855 First Information Reports (FIRs) and the confiscation of over 48,000 cylinders.
Despite the challenges posed by international geopolitical events that are affecting the global energy sector, the supply of domestic LPG in India remains consistent and well-monitored. IndianOil has prioritized the distribution of LPG, ensuring that daily deliveries amount to approximately 28 lakh cylinders, aligning with the figures recorded before these geopolitical challenges emerged.
IndianOil encourages customers to utilize digital methods like SMS and IVRS for booking their LPG refills, with digital bookings currently comprising about 87% of all orders. Enhanced security measures such as Delivery Authentication Codes (DAC OTP) are in place to verify that the LPG cylinders reach their rightful recipients.

Concerns regarding unethical practices by some LPG distributors have been identified through customer feedback and social media platforms. In response, IndianOil has initiated over 7,500 surprise audits of distributorships, leading to disciplinary actions against 141 distributors, which includes the suspension of 5 for malpractices.

The company advises customers to avoid unnecessary panic buying or hoarding of cylinders and to ignore unfounded rumors, relying only on verified information.
