CBl Books WCL Medical Superintendent and a Private Chemist in Medical Bills Corruption Case

The Central Bureau of investigation (CBI) has registered a Corruption case against Medical Superintendent of the Western Coal Field Ltd. (WCL) Dispensary located in Coal Estate, Civil Lines, Nagpur, along with the Proprietor of a Private Medical Stores in Nagpur for alleged involvement in fraudulent medical billing.

The FIR alleges that the accused Medical Superintendent prepared false medical prescriptions which were then used by Proprietor of the Private Medical Stores to raise inflated bills and receive payments from WCL. It is also alleged that the accused Medical Superintendent forged prescriptions by adding costly medicines post-issuance without the knowledge of the patients. Based on these forged documents, inflated bills were submitted and paid to the private Medical Stores by the WCL Headquarters, Nagpur.

Searches have been conducted at multiple locations and investigation is going on to unearth the scam within the medical services associated with WCL.
