(Shimla) The Covid-19 has taken the World by storm. In this time of crisis SJVN has taken several measures to combat COVID-19. SJVN has agreed in principle to provide Rs. 1,00,00,000 (one crore) to deal with this pandemic.Sh. Nand Lal Sharma, Chairman & Managing Director, SJVN told that this amount will be utilised for procuring 6 ventilators by Indira Gandhi Medical College Hospital, Shimla and 5 ventilators by Dr. Rajender Prasad Medical College, Tanda and some ventilators in Rampur Hospital at Khaneri. SJVN will also extend financial support to provide other essential items like masks , sanitizers and gloves to these health institutions.Sh. Sharma said that, in addition, the employees of SJVN are also contributing towards fight with COVID-19. An amount of around Rs. 25,00,000 (twenty five lakh) collected from contributions from all the employees will also be utilised in this fight against COVID-19.He further informed that, the organization is taking lead in spreading awareness on the Corona virus spread. To supplement the efforts of Government, Hoardings have been installed by SJVN in various parts of the Shimla town such as, between Old Bus Stand and the lift, Sanjauli, Khalini, BCS, Panthaghati, Mehli and SJVN Corporate Office Complex, Shakti Sadan. Radio jingles, spreading awareness on the disease have been composed and are being aired through All India Radio and Big FM Shimla.SJVN stands strongly by the Government of Himachal Pradesh in these testing times. As a responsible corporate, SJVN will provide all the support towards implementation of various measures to deal with the pandemic.
