In an inspiring display of commitment to environmental sustainability, THDC India Limited, a prominent public sector undertaking in the power sector, is actively participating in the Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign 2025 (SHS 2025). The campaign, which runs from September 17 to October 2, 2025, is centered around the theme of “Swachhotsav” or स्वच्छोत्सव, promoting eco-friendly celebrations and advocating for zero-waste in community festivities.
Leadership Commitment to Swachh Bharat
Sh. R. K. Vishnoi, the Chairman and Managing Director of THDCIL, has reiterated the organization’s dedication to this significant initiative. He described the Swachhata Hi Seva fortnight as a homage to Mahatma Gandhi, leading up to the Swachh Bharat Diwas on October 2. Vishnoi emphasized the dual goals of fostering volunteerism and collective action aimed at achieving a cleaner and greener India. He noted that through various initiatives at their projects and offices, THDCIL is set to enhance community involvement in cleanliness and environmental awareness activities.
Swachhata Pledge and Employee Engagement
Highlighting the personal commitment required for this cause, Sh. Sipan Kumar Garg, Director (Finance) of THDCIL, led a Swachhata Pledge at the corporate headquarters in Rishikesh. He stressed the importance of individual actions in upholding cleanliness and encouraged everyone to motivate others to contribute to a cleaner, more prosperous India. Garg also called on employees to participate in ‘Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath’ Shramdaan, a voluntary cleanliness service to be held on September 25, 2025.
The pledge ceremonies were not just limited to the corporate office but were also conducted across all THDCIL projects and offices, demonstrating a unified approach to the campaign.
