In Jodhpur, at around 10:45 AM, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the new Terminal Building of Jodhpur Airport and launch the Modified UDAN Scheme, followed by a public address. The launch of the Modified UDAN Scheme, with an allocation of ₹28,840 crore over the next 10 years, marks a dynamic leap in regional aviation connectivity under the visionary “Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik” initiative. The scheme focuses on developing 100 aerodromes from unserved airstrips with over ₹12,000 crore, providing ₹2,500 crore for Operations and Maintenance support, establishing 200 modern helipads in remote areas, and extending Viability Gap Funding of over ₹10,000 crore for airlines. It also promotes Aatmanirbhar Bharat through procurement of indigenous aircraft and helicopters like HAL Dhruv and Dornier, ensuring sustainable growth and seamless access across the country.
The new Jodhpur Airport Terminal Building, built at a cost of ₹480 crore and spread over more than 23,000 sqm, will serve up to 20 lakh passengers annually with modern amenities for a comfortable experience. Inspired by Rajasthan’s royal heritage through elegant arches and jharokhas blended with contemporary design, the terminal incorporates energy-efficient systems, water conservation, and green practices aiming for a 5-Star GRIHA rating. This landmark facility will powerfully boost tourism, trade, and job creation in the region.
Subsequently, at around 12:15 PM in Balotra, Prime Minister Modi will dedicate, inaugurate, and lay the foundation stone for multiple high-impact projects worth approximately ₹1.06 lakh crore, while addressing a public gathering. A historic milestone will be the dedication of India’s first greenfield integrated refinery-cum-petrochemical complex at Pachpadra, a joint venture between HPCL and the Government of Rajasthan. With an investment exceeding ₹79,450 crore, the 9 MMTPA facility integrates refining and 2.4 MMTPA petrochemical production, achieving a high Nelson Complexity Index of 17.0 and over 26% petrochemical yields. This state-of-the-art complex will strengthen energy security, enhance self-sufficiency in petrochemicals, anchor a Petrochemical and Plastic Park, spur downstream industries, and create substantial employment for the region’s socio-economic advancement.
The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for Phase 2 of the Jaipur Metro Rail Project, worth over ₹13,000 crore. This 41-km north-south corridor from Prahladpura to Todi Mod, featuring 36 stations, will connect key industrial and residential hubs including Sitapura, VKI, Jaipur Airport, Tonk Road, SMS Hospital, and more, delivering faster, safer, and convenient public transport. Complementing the operational Phase 1, it will transform urban mobility in Jaipur.
Further enhancing rail infrastructure, the Prime Minister will dedicate the Churu–Sadulpur (58 km) and Churu–Ratangarh (46 km) rail doubling projects, completed at around ₹900 crore. These 104 km of strengthened lines will increase capacity, improve safety and punctuality for passenger and freight services, ease congestion, and drive investment and industrial growth in north-west Rajasthan.
Additional key inaugurations include the four-laning of NH-125A Jodhpur Ring Road Section-2 (Karwar–Dangiyawas) at ₹740 crore, which will deliver smoother and safer regional connectivity. In renewable energy, the Prime Minister will dedicate SJVN’s 1,000 MW Bikaner Solar Energy Project (₹5,500 crore investment, using 24.22 lakh domestic solar modules) and NHPC’s 300 MW Karnisar Bikaner Solar Plant (using 7.75 lakh domestic PV cells and modules). He will also inaugurate a ₹1,900 crore transmission line for power evacuation from Rajasthan REZ and lay the foundation for a 530 km power transmission system, ensuring efficient renewable energy integration and reliable power supply across the state.
In a powerful step towards youth empowerment, the Prime Minister will hand over appointment letters to around 54,000 young recruits across Rajasthan Government departments including Education, Energy, Home, Panchayati Raj, Transport, and others.
Later in Gujarat, at around 4:30 PM, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the CG SEMI Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) Facility in Sanand, Ahmedabad, and address the gathering.
This facility, one of the first four approved under the India Semiconductor Mission with over ₹7,500 crore investment, heralds the start of commercial production and elevates India’s role in the global semiconductor value chain. Once fully operational, it will produce up to 5 billion chips annually, supporting AI, high-performance computing, automotive, 5G, IoT, and other critical sectors through comprehensive assembly, testing, and support services. This achievement powerfully advances self-reliance and positions India as a trusted global semiconductor destination.
These initiatives collectively embody India’s unstoppable momentum towards inclusive development, technological excellence, and a brighter future for millions.
