New Delhi, April 16, 2025: Petronet LNG Limited has announced a significant leadership transition. The company’s Board of Directors, in its meeting held on April 16, 2025, based on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and approval of the Audit Committee, approved the appointment of Shri Saurav Mitra as Director (Finance) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This appointment is in place of Shri Vinod Kumar Mishra, whose tenure as Director (Finance) and CFO will conclude on April 18, 2025. Shri Saurav Mitra’s appointment will be effective from the date he assumes charge, with a tenure of five years. Aged 56, Shri Mitra is an Associate Member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ACMA). He brings over three decades of distinguished experience from Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) and its overseas subsidiary, Lanka IOC PLC. As CFO at Lanka IOC, he played a pivotal role in driving financial strategy and operational excellence. At IOCL, as Executive Director (Internal Audit), he strengthened risk management and governance frameworks. Shri Mitra has made significant contributions to mobilizing funds from domestic and international markets, financing high-value infrastructure and energy projects, and driving digital transformation, including pioneering the Vendor Invoice Management System at IOCL. He is recognized for his expertise in corporate finance, treasury, forex risk management, capital budgeting, taxation, and mergers & acquisitions. Shri Mitra holds 100 equity shares in Petronet LNG Limited and has confirmed no inter-se relationship with other directors of the company.
