OIL-BPCL Venture Ignites Arunachal’s Gas Network

New Delhi: CMD of OIL, Dr. Ranjit Rath, expressed his enthusiasm about the collaboration with BPCL to establish a Joint Venture Company for creating a gas distribution network in Arunachal Pradesh.

The initiative, aimed at enhancing clean energy access, involves setting up CNG stations and providing PNG to various consumer segments. This strategic move aligns with the Government’s vision of fostering a gas-based economy and driving socio-economic development in the state.

In response, Director (Refineries) with Additional Charge of Chairman & Managing Director, BPCL , Shri Sanjay Khanna, emphasized the significance of the Joint Venture in expanding clean energy access, particularly in the North-East region.

The collaboration between BPCL and OIL is set to bolster the City Gas Distribution network, catering to the energy needs of households, industries, and transport sectors.

The project in Arunachal Pradesh, awarded during the 12th CGD Bid Round, underlines the commitment of both companies to sustainable growth and the realization of India’s gas-based economy vision.
