MRPL Reports Robust Q3 2025 Financial Results

Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) has released its financial results for the third quarter and nine-month period ending December 31, 2025, showing significant growth in profitability and a strengthened balance sheet. Financial Highlights

The company reported a substantial increase in profit for Q3 FY 2025-26 compared to the same period last year:

* Profitability: Profit after Tax (PAT) reached ₹1,445 crore for the quarter, a sharp rise from the ₹304 crore reported in Q3 FY 2024-25.

* Revenue: Revenue from operations grew to ₹29,720 crore for Q3, up from ₹25,601 crore in the previous year’s third quarter.

* Debt Reduction: Over the last nine months, MRPL successfully reduced its total borrowing from ₹12,867 crore to ₹9,290 crore.

* Leverage: The debt-to-equity ratio improved significantly, dropping to 0.63 as of December 31, 2025, compared to 0.99 at the start of the fiscal year.

Operational Performance Operational efficiency and strategic resource management were key themes for the quarter:

* Throughput: The refinery achieved a throughput of 4.70 MMT in Q3 FY 2025-26, slightly higher than the 4.60 MMT recorded in Q3 FY 2024-25.

* Strategic Storage: In October 2025, the company began using the ISPRL Cavern Storage facility in Mangalore to store and process crude oil.

* New Crude Grade: MRPL successfully processed Sarir Mesla Crude from Libya for the first time.

* Exports: Export revenue for the quarter stood at ₹7,458 crore.

Awards & Recognition The company was recognized for its excellence in several areas during this period, including: * Export Excellence: Received awards from the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) in the “Five Star Export House” and “Highest Foreign Exchange Earner” categories. * Digital Innovation: Recognized for the digitization of its procurement processes at the India Supply Chain Summit 2025. * R&D: Won its fourth consecutive Innovation Award for Research & Development in Refining Technology at the 28th Energy Technology Meet.
