The Indian Institute of Technology Ropar (IIT Ropar) has received the prestigious Best Institute Award at the fourth edition of Samagam, a notable annual event that brings together leaders and innovators from various sectors. This event, hosted by the Ludhiana Angels Network, was graced by the presence of Punjab’s Governor, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, who presented the award to Prof. Rajeev Ahuja, the Director of IIT Ropar.
This year’s Samagam, focusing on the Fashion and Textiles sector, attracted over 300 participants, including entrepreneurs, investors, industry experts, scholars, and policymakers. Amidst stiff competition, IIT Ropar stood out in the category that honors institutions for their role in fostering entrepreneurship and innovation.
Upon accepting the award, Prof. Ahuja expressed his gratitude and highlighted the collective effort of the IIT Ropar community. He emphasized the institution’s dedication to nurturing an innovative culture that significantly benefits both the state of Punjab and the country at large.
