The signing ceremony saw the participation of key figures including Shri Adesh Titarmare, IAS Deputy Chairperson of the MbPA, and Shri K.P. Mahadevaswamy, Chairman and Managing Director of NBCC, along with senior officials from both entities.

The partnership doesn’t stop at the CGO Complex; the Mumbai Port Authority has also given preliminary approval for NBCC to undertake additional projects, including:

– The construction of an International Convention Centre – The erection of an Iconic Building – The development of Multilevel Car Parking facilities – The maintenance of various port facilities including buildings, sheds, wharfs, storage areas, and roads

This agreement is a strategic move towards the planned redevelopment and asset monetization of Mumbai Port’s land, aiming to establish top-tier infrastructure that adheres to the Government of India’s goals for sustainable urban development. In this collaboration, NBCC will apply its extensive experience in project management and infrastructure development, while the MbPA will ensure the strategic use of its land resources.

The MoU underscores NBCC’s role as a pivotal player in national development and emphasizes the Mumbai Port Authority’s commitment to transforming its land resources according to contemporary urban planning standards. This collaboration is expected to lead to groundbreaking advancements in urban redevelopment and infrastructure-driven growth, contributing to India’s vision of creating sustainable and inclusive urban environments.
