Mumbai, April 22, 2026: Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), has announced that the national supply of LPG is secure and consistent with current demand levels. This stability is underscored by the continuous distribution efforts covering residential, commercial, and bulk sectors over the recent ten-day span.
From April 12 to April 21, BPCL has successfully distributed 11,395,564 cylinders for household use, 287,867 for commercial purposes, and 222,444 full truckload (FTL) deliveries, demonstrating a fluid and uninterrupted flow of LPG throughout the supply chain, with sufficient stocks readily available in various markets. The distribution data indicates a normal pattern of demand without any unexpected increases in orders.
Experts in the industry have pointed out that the uniform uptake in both residential and commercial sectors is a reliable indicator of supply security. Both sectors are receiving adequate supplies, with BPCL ensuring ongoing replenishment of stocks at distribution points and maintaining regular delivery schedules.
BPCL’s extensive logistics network, which includes refineries, import terminals, bottling facilities, and a widespread distributor network, has been operating efficiently. This has guaranteed the seamless transport of LPG across different areas. The consistent supply of bulk deliveries through FTL has also been crucial in meeting the needs of commercial and industrial sectors, in addition to residential demands.
Additionally, the expansion of BPCL’s city gas distribution network is notable, with 181,405 piped natural gas (PNG) connections established so far, indicating a shift towards piped gas and helping to alleviate the reliance on traditional cylinder supplies in metropolitan areas.
With ongoing balanced dispatches, stable demand, and continuous stock replenishment, BPCL has reassured that the LPG supply across India is stable, with routine deliveries matching the usual consumption patterns.
