The SCOPE Academy of Public Sector Enterprises (APSE) recently hosted a weeklong Executive Development Program specifically tailored for junior and mid-level executives from Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs). The program was officially launched by Atul Sobti, the Director General of SCOPE. The closing ceremony featured Ayush Gupta, Director (HR) of GAIL and a member of the SCOPE Executive Board, who handed out certificates to the attendees. The theme for this session was ‘The Career Journey to Personal Effectiveness and Leadership,’ attracting approximately 50 participants from 20 CPSEs nationwide.
At the opening of the event, Director General Sobti emphasized the importance of ongoing education and the need for both skill enhancement and re-skilling within the workforce, considering the rapid pace of today’s professional environment. He encouraged the attendees to view education as a perpetual process that spans one’s entire life, from “cradle to grave.”
In the final remarks of the program, Gupta pointed out that although opportunities are available to everyone, they often go unrecognized. He highlighted that real talent lies in the ability to recognize and fully exploit these opportunities.
APSE was established with the aim of developing a strong, forward-thinking pool of talent, preparing managers across various levels within the public sector to be competent and efficient leaders.
