The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has officially sanctioned the appointment of Shri Ashok Kumar, currently the General Manager and Head of Department at Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited (SJVN), to the prestigious role of Director (Finance) at National Seeds Corporation (NSC) Limited. This decision was confirmed through a notification issued by the Office of the Establishment Officer at the Department of Personnel & Training, dated 29th October 2025.
Shri Ashok Kumar will step into his new role at NSC with a remunerative pay scale of Rs. 1,60,000-2,90,000 (Industrial DA), effective from the date he assumes charge. His tenure is set until his superannuation on 31st August 2028, or until further directives, whichever comes first.
This strategic move aligns with the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare’s vision to strengthen the financial frameworks within key agricultural institutions. Shri Kumar brings extensive experience and a proven track record from his tenure at SJVN, which will be invaluable in his new position at NSC. His expertise is expected to drive significant advancements in the operational efficiencies and financial management within the Corporation, which is critical for its role in the distribution of quality seeds to the farming community.
