PNGRB Musical Chairs Game On

PNGRB Musical Chairs Game On

New Delhi | NewsIP: Experts are guessing whether the name of OIL India’s General Manager has already finalized for the coveted position of Member at the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB)? Currently Energy Sector Circles are agog with this vital question. Following recent interviews for the position, speculation over the likely appointee has picked up pace.

While the interviews were conducted some days ago, the official result is yet to be declared. Despite this, certain media reports have gone ahead and claimed that a certain candidate has been selected. However, no formal announcement has been made till filing of this report.

Sources close to NewsIP suggest that a low-profile but highly experienced individual was the forerunner for the position. It is now being said that a General Manager from OIL India has emerged as a strong frontrunner in the race. However, without any formal confirmation from the government or the selection panel, such reports remain speculative.

This isn’t the first time a PNGRB selection process has sparked premature conclusions. Readers may recall that in the past, reports had hinted at IOCL’s Nanaware being finalized for a similar position. But when the official announcement came, a different name surfaced — a reminder that in such appointments, surprises are not uncommon.

For now, all eyes are on whether OIL India’s senior official will truly make it to the regulatory board or another name will emerge, when the official word is out.

(This report is based on sources and ongoing speculation. Final confirmation is awaited.)
