Hyderabad, August 25, 2026: NMDC Limited has set in motion a focused Three-Month Campaign ahead of Vigilance Awareness Week 2026, aligning its efforts with the Central Vigilance Commission guidelines and placing renewed attention on integrity, transparency, probity and good governance across the organization.
As part of this campaign, NMDC’s Vigilance Department recently organized a Two-Day Capacity Building Programme at the company’s Head Office in Hyderabad. The initiative was designed to strengthen employee awareness and support capacity building around the key focus areas identified by the CVC.
Shri Anurag Kapil, Director (Finance), NMDC and CVO, NMDC, addressed the programme and underlined the important connection between vigilance and finance functions. He highlighted the need for clear, specific and well-supported reasoning on official files, noting that proper justification plays a vital role in transparency, accountability and sound decision-making.
At the closing session, Shri C. Neelakanta Reddy, CVO, NMDC, spoke on the Vigilance Awareness Week 2026 theme, “Probity for Prosperity.” He called for stronger adoption of transparency, ethics and accountability across organizational processes and encouraged participants to support NMDC’s preparedness and effective participation in line with the CVC’s guidance for VAW 2026.
The programme brought together eminent speakers and domain experts who shared practical insights across several important areas. The sessions covered IT and Cyber Security, Cyber Hygiene, Public Procurement of Goods and Services under GFR-2017, GeM new features and functionalities, Conduct Rules and Conflict of Interest.
On the first day, Smt. K. Indraveni, Scientist-F and Associate Director, C-DAC, led a session on Cyber Security and Cyber Hygiene. Shri D. Brahma Reddy, Associate Professor, University of Delhi and Ex-Faculty, ISTM, New Delhi, spoke on Public Procurement of Goods and Services under GFR-2017.
The second day featured Shri Kartikeya Dutta, IRSS, Dy. CMM (General), who covered the Procurement Framework, Best Practices and Recent Developments in GeM. Dr. Upender Vennam, Postmaster General, Kurnool Region and Ex-CVO of BDL, MIDHANI and HSL, addressed Model CDA Rules and Conflict of Interest.
Through the programme, participants gained useful perspectives on vigilance awareness, compliance, transparency and ethical decision-making in official responsibilities. NMDC will continue the Three-Month Campaign with further awareness and capacity-building initiatives leading up to Vigilance Awareness Week 2026 and across the campaign
