Shri Subhankar Sen, Director (Marketing) at Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), recently heralded the ‘Zero Ka Dum’ certification drive as a landmark initiative in the company’s history, comparable to the transformative ‘Pure For Sure’ campaign launched in 2001. “Zero Ka Dum is a credible initiative that embodies innovation, care, and reliability in our mission to serve customers with love and trust,” stated Sen during the milestone event held at the Loni LPG Bottling Plant. He extended heartfelt congratulations to the LPG team for achieving such a remarkable feat.

The initiative, which ensures that LPG bottling plants across India meet the highest standards of safety and operational excellence, has been rolled out nationally and seen 50 plants achieve certification, with more on track to complete the process. These certifications are conducted by independent agencies accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Certification Bodies (NABCB), covering all aspects of the cylinder’s journey from plant to consumer.
Shri Sanjay Khanna, Director (Refineries) with Additional Charge of Chairman & Managing Director of BPCL, emphasized the strategic importance of the ‘Zero Ka Dum’ program. “This initiative reflects our unwavering commitment to operational excellence and customer safety,” Khanna remarked. He praised the LPG Business Unit for their relentless efforts to enhance plant operations and deliver defect-free cylinders to every household, underscoring that the milestone stands as a testament to BPCL’s culture of continuous improvement and commitment to quality.
Adding to the discussion, Shri Raj Kumar Dubey, Director (Human Resources), highlighted the human element behind this transformation. “Delivering defect-free cylinders has been a vision nearly four decades in the making,” said Dubey. He noted that realizing this vision required comprehensive improvements at both the plant and equipment level, including adopting third-party certification—an unprecedented step within the industry. Dubey reaffirmed the company’s enduring commitment to customer safety and satisfaction, stating, “A company grows big by caring for its customers—and BPCL stands true to that belief.”
