GAIL Launches Season 2 of ‘Wah Kya Energy’ Campaign Targeting Gen Z and Clean Fuel Switch
New Delhi, October 7, 2026: GAIL (India) Limited has launched Season 2 of its consumer awareness campaign, ‘Wah Kya Energy Hai’, releasing four short-format films on its official YouTube channel along with a campaign anthem titled ‘Naye Bharat Ki Nayi Energy’.
The campaign focuses on consumer awareness around cleaner energy choices, including CNG, PNG and LNG, while also featuring CBG and other applications across household, commercial and industrial use cases.
GAIL targets wider consumer awareness
According to GAIL, the campaign is aimed at strengthening direct consumer outreach around cleaner and more sustainable energy options. The company has given particular attention to Gen Z, citing the generation’s growing influence on consumption choices and its potential role in the energy transition.
The campaign covers several applications, including Domestic PNG, Commercial PNG, CNG, Industrial PNG and LNG.
GAIL’s Season 2 storytelling follows the Mishra family through everyday situations involving travel, family gatherings, visits to relatives and an event at Senior Mishra’s factory.
Four films build campaign around everyday energy choices
Each of the four films uses an everyday situation to present the case for cleaner fuel options. GAIL said the storytelling combines humour and relatable situations to encourage audiences to consider cleaner alternatives.
The company has also expanded the creative treatment in Season 2 with enhanced production values, visuals and storytelling.
Each episode has a runtime of approximately 8–10 minutes and is available through GAIL’s official YouTube channel.
‘Naye Bharat Ki Nayi Energy’ adds an anthem to the campaign
Alongside the films, GAIL has released the campaign anthem ‘Naye Bharat Ki Nayi Energy’, which runs for more than four minutes.
The anthem’s video features GAIL’s energy infrastructure and solutions, including what the company describes as India’s first floating CNG station in Varanasi, as well as newer offerings such as Compressed Biogas.
The video brings together consumers and communities across different age groups and geographies, including children, young adults, senior citizens and members of the defence forces.
Campaign extends across digital and offline platforms
GAIL said the campaign is being promoted through its social-media platforms, influencer and audience engagement initiatives, digital banners, radio, cinema chains and gamification-led activities.
The short films are also being distributed through social-media shorts and other digital formats.
The campaign anthem is being distributed through music-streaming platforms including Spotify, Amazon Music, Gaana and JioSaavn, according to the company.
Ayush Gupta outlines GAIL’s consumer communication strategy
Speaking about the campaign, Ayush Gupta, Director (HR), GAIL, who also leads Corporate Communications & Branding, said the initiative seeks to build greater awareness of clean-energy choices and environmental responsibility.
Gupta said the campaign uses relatable storytelling and includes Gen Z in its communication strategy because young consumers can play an important role in the energy transition.
He also said the four stories highlight different applications within GAIL’s clean-energy ecosystem, including CNG, PNG, Transport LNG and Commercial and Industrial PNG.
The campaign also incorporates GAIL Utkarsh, the company’s CSR initiative supporting students from underprivileged communities, and floating CNG stations in Varanasi.
GAIL links natural gas outreach with wider energy transition
GAIL said it continues to advocate the adoption of natural gas and its wider applications amid the global transition towards cleaner and more sustainable energy alternatives.
The company operates across several parts of the natural gas value chain, including gas trading and transmission, LPG production and transmission, LNG re-gasification, petrochemicals, city gas distribution and exploration and production.
GAIL said it owns and operates more than 18,700 km of natural gas pipelines across India.
The company also has interests in renewable energy, including solar, wind and biofuels.
Actors feature in four campaign films
Actors Srikant Verma, Divya Jagdale, Luv Vispute and Ahmed Khan feature across the four short films.
The campaign uses their participation alongside everyday storytelling to communicate messages around cleaner energy choices and sustainability.
