BPCL Confirms Stable Fuel Supply Amid Rising Demand

Mumbai,Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), recognized as a top Fortune Global 500 entity and distinguished by its Maharatna status, has issued a statement confirming the stability and sufficiency of its fuel and LPG distribution throughout India, in response to increased consumer demand in select areas.

BPCL has affirmed that its operations, encompassing refining, distribution, and retail activities, are proceeding without disruptions. This smooth operation is supported by advanced monitoring systems, robust inventory controls, and well-coordinated logistics across different regions.

Highlighting its operational efficiency, BPCL announced that during the fiscal year 2026, it achieved a record refinery throughput of 41.15 million metric tonnes (MMT), with its facilities operating at 117% capacity utilization. This milestone underscores BPCL’s capability to meet rising fuel demands effectively.

Up to May 21, 2026, BPCL reported substantial delivery volumes which include over 1 million kilolitres of Motor Spirit (MS) and nearly 1.84 million kilolitres of High-Speed Diesel (HSD), indicating robust demand and responsive supply chain management.

In its commitment to enhance service reliability, the company has implemented several strategic measures, such as improved tanker scheduling, inventory management at depots, and continuous operations monitoring. These initiatives ensure efficient supply chain operations, involving close collaboration with regional teams, distributors, and retail partners.

BPCL continues to prioritize the assurance of uninterrupted fuel and LPG supply, maintaining excellence in customer service and operational reliability throughout its extensive network across India.
