Housing and Urban Development Corporation Ltd. (HUDCO), recognized as a Navratna non-banking financial company and infrastructure finance corporation, has been awarded an ‘Excellent’ rating for its operational performance during the fiscal year 2024-25.
This evaluation was determined under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that HUDCO has with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. Achieving a remarkable score of 97.90 out of 100, HUDCO has not only set a high standard within the financial sector but also validated its reputation as a dependable and efficient public enterprise for the second year in a row.
In its evaluation, HUDCO met the highest standards in 9 out of 12 key performance indicators. This achievement showcases its commitment to robust governance, operational efficiency, and societal contributions.
Among the standout areas were: – Continued profitability and enhanced shareholder value – Strong asset management contributing to financial health – Effective disbursement of loans facilitating urban and housing projects – Adherence to government e-marketplace (GeM) and Trade Receivables Discounting System (TReDS) enhancing business transparency and operations – Socially beneficial corporate social responsibility activities that demonstrate a dedication to inclusive development – Initiatives aimed at enhancing employee health and safety, highlighting a focus on workforce welfare These accomplishments reflect HUDCO’s strategic priority to balance robust financial performance with a commitment to social good.
