Agartala, Tripura: In a testament to the strong bilateral ties between India and Bangladesh, Tripura has continued to supply electricity to the Comilla district of Bangladesh. The power supply, which was initiated under a mutual agreement, has been uninterrupted, providing much-needed relief to the people of Comilla.
The Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited (TSECL) has been supplying 190 MW of power to Comilla, helping to meet the district’s growing energy demands. This power supply has not only improved the lives of the people of Comilla but has also strengthened the economic ties between the two countries.
India’s commitment to providing uninterrupted power supply to Bangladesh underscores its dedication to fostering strong regional cooperation and promoting economic development in the region.
