SCOPE Collaborates with ILO & IOE to Enhance Employer Capacities
Synopsis

Recently, SCOPE, a key player in global employer relations, engaged in a strategic dialogue with the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the International Organisation of Employers (IOE). The meeting was led by SCOPE’s leadership comprising Mr. K. P. Mahadevaswamy, Chairman of SCOPE and CMD of NBCC, along with Mr. Atul Sobti, DG of SCOPE.

Joining the discussion were Mr. Roberto Suárez Santos, Secretary General of IOE in Geneva; Ms. Michiko Miyamoto, Director of ILO South Asia; and Mr. Ravindra Peiris, Senior Specialist at ILO, alongside other senior representatives from both ILO and SCOPE.
Key outcomes of the meeting included the recognition of the necessity for close collaboration among SCOPE, ILO, and IOE to enhance employer capacities in India.
The focus areas identified were the development of skills through micro credentials, emphasis on just transition practices, and the promotion of responsible business conduct.
Furthermore, ILO and IOE expressed their commitment to supporting SCOPE in expanding its membership base through continued interactions and collaborations.
