New Delhi: Serious questions are being raised regarding the continuous posting of a senior officer in Delhi at the National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) since 1994. According to sources, the officer in question is not only stationed in Delhi for nearly three decades but is also currently handling responsibilities related to international operations.
Discussions within internal circles and among employees are intensifying over why this officer has never been transferred out of Delhi for such a long period. In government departments and public sector undertakings, it is common practice to transfer officials every few years, so why has an exception been made in this case? This has cast doubts over the management’s practices at NBCC.
Sources suggest that such an extended tenure at a single location is not only against standard protocols but could also negatively impact the organization’s functioning. Growing dissatisfaction among employees regarding this matter is also being observed.
As of now, NBCC’s management has not issued any official statement regarding the issue, though there is speculation that the matter may soon come under review.
