New Delhi: POWERGRID Raipur Pool Dhamtari Transmission Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd., has announced the successful commissioning of the “Transmission System associated with Western Region Expansion Scheme-XXVII (WRES-XXVII).” The project, secured through Tariff Based Competitive Bidding, was fully commissioned on March 26, 2025, with the Notification for Commercial Operation.
This milestone marks a significant step in enhancing the transmission infrastructure in the Western Region, ensuring reliable power evacuation and grid stability. The project, which includes the Raipur Pool – Dhamtari 400 kV D/c line and associated 400 kV line bays at Raipur Pool Substation, has been executed with precision, reinforcing POWERGRID’s leadership in India’s power transmission sector.
