Punjab National Bank (PNB), has dedicated its Air Force Station Palam Branch in Delhi to the Indian Armed Forces. The dedication ceremony took place on August 19, 2023, and was held in honour of Wg Cdr Clarence Joseph D’lima, VM, who made the ultimate sacrifice while saving the lives of Late Prime Minister Shri Moraji Desai and his entourage during a catastrophic aviation crash in Jorhat on November 4, 1977. PNB Executive Director Shri Kalyan Kumar and Air Commodore S K Tripathi, VSM, from HQ Western Air Command, inaugurated the branch in the presence of PNB and Air Force Station Palam officials.
As part of its commitment to the Indian Armed Forces, PNB will provide specially designed products to defence personnel under the bank’s flagship scheme of ‘PNB Rakshak Plus.’ This scheme includes personal accidental insurance, and air accidental insurance for serving, retired, and trainees of the defence forces, central armed police forces, state police force, metro police, and retired defence pensioners.
