PESB to Select IOCL’s Director (P&BD)
New Delhi: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) will conduct a meeting on August 20, 2024, to choose the next Director (Planning & Business Development) for Indian Oil Corporation Limited (Schedule A). The meeting will take place from 09:00 AM to 11:00 AM via video conferencing (VC).
Top Candidates to Face the Board
The PESB has shortlisted top candidates for the role, who will undergo a rigorous selection process. The Board will assess their skills and expertise to find the best fit for the position.
Indian Oil Corporation’s Chairman to Play Key Role. Though Chairman’s position incumbent is yet to be declared. Question thus arises who will be the person to attend. As of this instant, the current incumbent Chairman, on extended term, seems to be invited to get associated. Logically then, either PESB is fully aware no fresh Chairman Indian Oil will be announced by 20.8.24 or the selected person may not get his appointment orders till then.
This also puts a question mark on the selection as Chairman IOCL of the person whose name was carried by many media houses and who is already Chairman of a PSU. The Chairman of Indian Oil Corporation Limited is to attend the meeting to provide valuable insights and help the Board make an informed decision. Agenda papers will be sent separately to all participants as per the notification.
The chosen candidate to take over as Dir (BD) will play a crucial role in shaping Indian Oil Corporation’s planning and business development strategies. The selection process is expected to be highly competitive, with only the best candidate emerging victorious.
